A socialite is a person who is known to be a part of fashionable society because of his or her regular participation in social activities and fondness for spending a significant amount of time entertaining and being entertained. The term "socialite" best known for describing people whose recognition comes primarily from being a regular part of glamorous social gatherings.

Why Savoy?

Savoy The Socialite of Modern Weddings and Event Planning is a Richmond, Virginia based event planning business that has been designing events for friends, families and acquaintances since 2008. This business all started with working for companies and planning many corporate events and fundraisers. The designing and planning element is second nature to me and many of my acquaintances wanted me to plan their baby showers, birthday parties, anniversaries and weddings. Many individuals just wanted to ask questions about what to wear at a wedding that starts at 5:00pm or which fork do I use first when I eat? Should I wear my hair up or down with a strapless dress? How soon should I send out invitations? Questions on etiquette, dress and events go hand in hand. For many years I responded to those questions and was at the aid of those individuals as they needed help. We all want the perfect event to get the perfect results. Because of my results, people in the community name me the "socialite" and encourage and urged the start of my business. My friends and family have been my strongest supporters by attending my superlative functions.

My name is Yolanda Savoy and I am a true socialite. I am an event designer and wedding planner. I love fashion, style, details and events. To me everything matters. I am a representation of my work. Everything around me represents my sense of style for fashion designs & details.

When you have the perfect dress and you have fixed the perfect cocktail sitting on your crate & barrel blue tufted sofa with your legs crossed showcasing your 5 inch heels...This is the perfect time for your doorbell to ring with the perfect MAN behind it......Sounds corny but I am a hopeless romantic. I believe in Love and I believe in showcasing your Love.

I have been fortunate to be around 49 years of Love. Yes, my parents have been married for 49 years and my grandparents for over 60 and so on... How could I have not been a wedding planner? As I continue to dream, hope, wish and pray for cupid to continue to strike arrows, including myself; It is my true desire to make memorable and lasting moments.  As a little girl I looked at my parents wedding album and saw all of the details, decor, family and love. This had such a profound inspiration to ask the question to my couples: "What do you want to remember"?
